If my cat has a micro-chip in his neck and a solar flare comes to earth will he explode?

Just curious, because a solar flare is suppose to fry micro-chips right? So wouldn't that in turn hurt my animal? If this is the case is there a way to remove the micro-chip from him, I don't want him to not even have a chance of surviving. I know this sounds weird but I'm trying to be as prepared as I can get and think of everything since the world is becoming a "little" unraveled.
